Meet the team
As the Ascension Living St. Vincent PACE Executive Director, Susan leads the daily operations of the Ascension Living St. Vincent PACE program.
Susan has over 17 years of experience as a bedside nurse. She led the first inpatient COVID unit and stood up an observation for Ascension St. Vincent Indianapolis. Susan has a vast array of experience in home care, hospice, and inpatient care. Her passion lives in serving the underserved and most vulnerable patients. Leadership and growing the future leaders of healthcare are her passions.
“I am excited to have had the opportunity to aid in the development and launch of a new PACE program (Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly), which serves my local community by providing comprehensive, spiritually centered, holistic health services to individuals age 55+ who are sufficiently frail to be deemed “nursing home eligible” by the Indiana Medicaid program.”
As the Ascension Living St. Vincent PACE Medical Director, Dr. Harrison plans and directs the medical policies and programs for the St. Vincent PACE center. After graduating from medical school in Missouri, he went on to complete his family medicine residency training at Ascension Genesys Hospital in Grand Blanc, MI. Dr. Harrison went on to serve as the medical director of several skilled nursing and assisted living facilities, and as site director of a federally qualified health center in Indianapolis. With more than 16 years of practice experience, he has developed a particular focus and interest in serving adult and geriatric patients. In November 2021, Dr. Harrison joined Ascension Living as Medical Director for St. Vincent PACE. Outside of his medical leadership within Ascension Living St. Vincent PACE, Dr. Harrison enjoys spending time with his wife Karin and their three children, leading medical teams on mission trips to Haiti, and swimming for a local U.S. Masters swim team.
As a geriatric Nurse Practitioner, Nicole joined the Ascension Living St. Vincent PACE team in November of 2022, but is not new to Ascension. Prior to achieving her Masters in Nursing from the University of Indianapolis, she spent 6 years as a bedside nurse, primarily at Ascension St. Vincent hospital in Indianapolis.
Since becoming a Nurse Practitioner, Nicole has worked in adult primary care, long term care, assisted living and memory care settings. Her special interests in healthcare include optimizing the quality of life for older adults and reducing the stigma associated with dementia and palliative/end of life care. The Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly is a perfect fit for Nicole given her passion about the age-friendly care and 4 Ms model, which she had the honor of practicing under the training of renowned physicians Drs. Patrick and Diane Healey.
When Nicole is not treating patients, she loves flowers, reading, practicing yoga, running, traveling and taking road trips, and spending time with family.
As the Director of Marketing and Communications for Ascension Living St. Vincent PACE Beth oversees marketing operations, inquiry and referral intake, participant enrollment, and Center communications within the community.
Beth has spent over 20 years in the healthcare industry helping patients recover from life-changing health events and simplify navigating their healthcare needs. Starting her career as a Certified Therapeutic Recreational Therapist (CTRS) in the setting of an acute rehabilitation hospital, Beth specialized in treating patients recovering from Stroke, Brain Injury and other neurological diagnoses using aquatic treatment, cognitive, behavioral and recreational modalities for 12 years. She used her experience and passion for connecting patients to the best resources for their needs to transition into roles in Case Management, Marketing and Business Development for acute rehab, skilled nursing facilities and home health care.
Beth enjoys spending her free time with her husband Chris, their two boys and Labrador retriever named Rex. They like doing just about anything outdoors, and any type of DIY creation.
As the Ascension Living St. Vincent Director of Transportation, Adam provides the strategic planning and leadership to ensure the safe and efficient transportation of all of our participants.
Adam has a long history of service to others. First as a firefighter and paramedic for 12 years, he learned the art of leading teams in stressful situations while still providing exceptional care. Additionally, Adam served as a missionary to the country of Haiti for 3 (three) years. He learned how to work in cross-cultural settings, to build authentic relationships, and how to logistically get volunteers and team members all over the county.
Adam brought his love of people to Ascension Living St. Vincent PACE in 2022 where he is excited to lead a team of drivers and associates who care for the participants as if they are family. Outside of the organization, Adam loves spending time with his wife and 2 kids. He also enjoys playing with his dog, spending time outdoors, and learning skills through the practice of Jiu Jitsu.
