Assisted Living - a smart mix of independence and support

Assisted Living Communities

Sometimes, the subtle signs are there: An older adult – a parent, spouse or loved one – is having difficulty with tasks that once came easier to them. Tasks like managing their medications, driving, getting dressed or preparing their meals. You may have noticed they’re not as social as they once were, too.

An assisted living community may be the perfect choice. Assisted living communities like ours are thoughtfully designed to balance a person’s independence with personalized care services. Residents can relax in the privacy and comfort of their maintenance-free apartment, knowing a community of activities, services, neighbors – and assistance, if needed – is always just outside their door.

FAQs

At an Ascension Living community, assisted living is characterized by a thoughtful blend of personalized care – when you need it – and independence on your terms – as you want it.

You enjoy your assisted living residence, with individually controlled heating and cooling, your own kitchen or kitchenette, private bathroom and, just in case, emergency pull cords. Our licensed, compassionate staff assists you with daily tasks of living, as needed. Those tasks could include bathing, housekeeping, getting dressed, getting around or medication management.

Generally, it’s a good idea to make that decision based on a physician’s assessment. You or your loved one’s personal physician can work with family members to match the needs with the right level of assistance. When help with daily tasks is needed – for example, bathing, dressing, eating, transportation, taking medicines, housekeeping – an assisted living community may be the answer. Our compassionate, trained professionals can provide you with guidance as well. Ultimately, our goal at every Ascension Living community is to help preserve each assisted living resident’s freedom and independence, while providing the right level of help.
